Why Confession Breaks Every Chain

1. Study the word as a truth seeker 2 Tim. 2:15

You should study the word as a son seeking an inheritance. If you do, you'll discover the truth that
changes everything. The Christian life is not a battle against sin, the devil or circumstances. The
greatest battle you will ever face is the battle between what God has said about you and what you
keep telling yourself about yourself.

2. It is Finished! John 19:30

The cross of Jesus Christ was not a down payment nor a partial payment on your freedom from sin
and death. When Jesus hung on the cross and cried out “Tetelestai,” “it is finished”. Jesus used it to
declare that the work of redemption was fully completed and the debt of sin was fully paid. Not
because prayer is wrong, but because begging for what you already possess is a denial of the finished
work of Christ.

3. You are righteous, not a sinner. 2 Corinthians 5:21

God made Jesus, who had no sin, to become sin, and he made you, who had no righteousness, to
become the righteousness of God. It is a legal exchange. Your confession is the mother of your faith.
Confession does not follow faith. Confession gives birth to faith. Faith does not come first, and then
you speak. You speak first in agreement with the word, and faith uses it to meet what you have
declared. This is the Divine order.

4. Your mouth activates your salvation Rom.10:10

Confession builds the road over which Faith carries its Mighty cargo. Without confession, faith has
no road. Without declaration, faith has no vehicle. With the heart man believes unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. “The simplicity of the Gospel is its power.

5. The one confession to make.

When you say I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, you are declaring seven things
simultaneously: You are declaring that the old man is dead, new identity, legal freedom in Christ,
forgiven child of God, devil has no claim on you, access to His grace and joint heir to His promises.

6. The prayer of faith

The prayer of faith is not the begging of an inferior. It is the claiming of your rights as a son. Heaven
has been waiting for your mouth to agree with what your spirit already knows.

APPLYING THE WORD

For 30 days confess, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”. I declare it! I believe it! speak it
every morning”. Say it with authority and conviction – exercise your right as a child of God!
